Cottage

Whether you are looking for a skiing or fishing holiday, a romantic escape, or an extended family getaway, our property takes you away from the city and helps you to slow down, relax and enjoy nature at its own pace..

Fish for trout in the 2 miles of river that borders the property, plus enjoy fishing in the Tumut River and Talbingo and Blowering Dams.

Or take an exhilerating tube ride down the river. Watch the amazing birdlife or just relax on your balcony and listen to the sounds of the river below.

Blue Gum cottage (4 star) has a queen size bed in the main bedroom and a double bunk in the second bedroom.

Lounge room, eat in area, fully equipped kitchen, laundry with washing machine and dryer, and bathroom with shower. Reverse cycle heating and cooling, TV, DVD, VCR, and CD player.

You also have a large balcony with BBQ overlooking the river below.

A CD, video, DVD, and book library is available at no charge so you can pick a movie or movies to watch and just return on your departure. We have a good selection for both adults and children.

Being rated "4 Star " there is nothing to bring except groceries (linen and towels included) which can be purchased here in Tumut as we have both Coles and Woolworths Supermarkets which are open to midnight.

Blue Gum Cottage is located approximately half way between Sydney and Melbourne, and just 14kms from the township of Tumut nestled in the magnificent Goobarragandra Valley.

Whether you're celebrating a special occasion, meeting up with friends or just looking for an unforgettable spot to relax and unwind, Blue Gum Cottage provides an atmosphere that can help you create magical moments.

The Tumut Region offers activities for everyone year round, from skiing at Mt Selwyn in winter, to fishing, kayaking, and all water sports in summer.

Fishing - the Goobarragandra River offers some of the most beautiful spots to enjoy a day trout fishing along with the Tumut River and Blowering Dam stocked with yellowbelly and cod and freshwater lobsters.

Kosciusko National Park, Yarrangobilly Caves, Buddong Falls, Talbingo with the Tumut 3 Power Station, Batlow famous for its apple and stonefruit orchards, Adelong a heritage town famous for its goldming past are all just 40 minutes from Elm Cottage.

Tumbarumba with its wineries, the Boggy Creek show and the Berry Farm reknown for its pancakes are an hour from the property.

Go bushwalking along the famous Hume and Hovell walking track or try a more challenging walk through the high country in Kosciusko National Park, mountain bike riding, hang gliding or play a game of golf at Tumut's picturesque yet challenging 18 hole golf course.

Mt. Selwyn snowfields offers 13 lifts toboganning, cross country skiing and is regarded as the perfect ski resort to "learn to ski" with runs to suit first timers, intermediates and the more advanced skier.

Blue Gum Cottage, is set on 62 acres of prime grazing land in the magnificent Goobarragandra Valley.

Privacy, peace and tranquility assured. Wonderful birdlife, and to see a wombat, echnida and platypus in their natural habitat is regarded by many of our guests as a special experience.
