One of the best places I've ever stayed. Magnificent views of the bay and mountains, bird life and colours of the sky. Great Feng Shui.

An idyllic spot - the charm of the "shack" but with every comfort. Great attention to detail. Thank you!

Locality

Activities in the area include exploring the world renowned Bay of Fires just a stones throw to the north, fishing charters in Georges Bay or offshore game fishing; surfing, sailing and walking on coastal and mountain tracks. Enjoy the untouched beauty of the St Helens Conservation area including the beautiful Beer Barrel Beach. Drive north to the magnificent beaches of the Bay of Fires or inland to Pyengana with its cheese factory, Pub in the Paddock and spectacular St Columba Falls.

Property

On entering the Beach House you are immediately drawn to the front deck and the stunning views over Georges Bay; your only company are the pelicans and kookaburras and the occasional sea eagle soaring above the majestic gum trees. The nearby holiday houses are obscured by bush and there is only a secluded, winding track between you and the bayside beach. The weatherboard seaside shacks which nestle into the gums above the beach are out of a time warp somewhere in the 1950’s – no beachside mansions and no crowded car parks.
The Beach House itself is weatherboard with polished floors, white walls, furnishings in shades of blue and an eclectic collection of original art. The mood is modern but a few pieces of furniture are definitely retro as the Beach House has jealously guarded some of the furniture it started out with in the 1960’s. As the owners love to visit too, many guests comment on the feeling of stepping into a much loved family retreat with many touches that make the Beach House a world away from your standard holiday unit but without any undue family clutter!
