Fancy a deserted island holiday?

In June 2011 Couran Cove Island Resort closed its doors to the general public and became a private resort for the exclusive use of individual resort property owners and their guests. Which means these select few people virtually have this award winning resort to themselves.

Eco Cabin 5306 is privately owned and let self-catering accommodation within the Nature Precinct of the resort. It comes with the exclusive and now uncrowded use of the Couran Cove Island Resort facilities at very affordable rates.

Please note that apart from the basic supplies available at the general store (10am-2pm daily) there are now NO FOOD OR BEVERAGE OUTLETS OPEN at the resort, so you will need to bring most of your food requirements with you.

Sleeping up to six, the NO SMOKING cabin features a fully equipped kitchen with cooking facilities, large living area, fully screened verandas with barbeque, ceiling fans, cosy gas fireplace, television, and complementary bikes and scooters (BYO helmets).

Fresh bedding and linen packs are provided on arrival, as well as towels for each guest. Luggage delivery to and from the cabin is also provided at no charge.

Located in the convenient Nolan precinct of the resort, the cabin is only a short walk or bicycle ride away from all the resort's facilities and beaches.

The resort is free from traffic as vehicles are restricted to a few resort security vehicles. So kids can safely enjoy themselves whether on foot, bike or scooter.

Couran Cove Island Resort is located on South Stradbroke Island only 40 minutes by ferry off Queensland's Gold Coast, Australia. Set in peaceful natural surrounds, the resort provides a wide choice of activities and is ideal for a family holiday or romantic escape.

Getting There


The most popular way to get to Couran Cove Island Resort is with the resort's own passenger ferry service from Hope Harbour on the Gold Coast. A relaxing 40 minute cruise along the Coomera River, with views of the luxury homes of Sovereign Islands and across the calm Broadwater to Couran Cove Island Resort is the perfect way to ease into your getaway mood.

Accommodation rates include return ferry transfers for up to 2 adults and 2 children (aged 3-14 ). Infants 0-2 also travel free.

Your luggage will be safely stowed on board and delivered directly to the cabin.

Car Parking:
FREE secure car parking is available at the Ferry Departure Terminal.

Using Your Own Boat:
If you have your own boat we can arrange a FREE marina berth at the resort for you if you would rather make your own way to Couran Cove.

The cabin sleeps up to 6 people in 2.5 bedrooms. The configuration is a queen bed in the main bedroom, two singles in the second bedroom, and a double convertible sofa in the sunroom.
