Bed & Breakfast

Tanwarra Lodge main house is a purpose built luxury B&B accommodation with the whole of the top level as the Loft Suite with queen bed and a double sofa bed, also has its own ensuite bathroom and lounge area with TV. In addition it has wet area with sink and refrigerator for that late night or early morning cuppa.
The ground floor of the main house has the Riverview room with its beautiful queen bed and ensuite bathroom.The remainder of the ground floor has the communal lounge area with open fireplace .The main house area is a child free zone for those wishing to just enjoy the peace and quite.
Set away from the main house and closer to the river is the Riverside Cabin with its stunning views over the area. it has a queen bed and a double sofa bed with its own ensuite and kitchen area as well as a large covered deck area with a gas BBQ and spa bath.The cabin is a great area for families with small children or couples wanting that private romantic weekend away.

Locality

Try your hand at gold fossicking in the Turon River. Visit the Old Sofala Gaol to see the large collection of memorabilia from many locations. Collect a copy of the self drive or walking tour from the Bathurst Visitor Information Centre and explore the village and surrounding region. Meet the locals in the Royal Hotel that was established in 1862. Take a drive up the Ilford Road to the Turon Technology Museum - winner of a National Trust Heritage Award, where engines from the period 1850-1950 are on display. The fabulous scenery of Wallaby Rocks along the road to Hill End is a must see for anyone with an eye for natural beauty.
