Cottage, Holiday house, Holiday unit

Long Point Break offers a fully self-contained modern 2 bedroom (2 queen beds) cabin with a modern and contemporary decor.

We have a fully equipped kitchen and also a BBQ for entertaining outside.

Both bedrooms have quality linen with egyptian cotton for your comfort.

A home theatre and 37 inch television add to your entertainment experiences.

Unfortunately we are unable to cater for young children.

Enjoy nature's splendour either by relaxing in your cabin or getting up close and personal with everything Long Point Break has to offer. We can guarantee you will be amazed at the local wildlife penguin experience. So, sorry NO PETS are catered for at Long Point Break

We offer a unique experience to watch little blue penguins walk right past your feet on the way to their nests.

Locality

We have the beach directly in front of the cabin, so any beach activity you can think of is right at your fingertips.

Wildlife abounds!!! Particulary birdlife: Penguins walk past the cabin on the way home to their nests/burrows. Sea eagles fish off the rocks and nest nearby. Shearwaters return here every year (the only time they ever come on land) to breed during September to August. Grass parrots, wrens, wattlebirds and other honeyeaters are common. Whales and their calves often come into the bay to rest up on their migation either north or south. Seals and dolphins also follow the natural curve of the beach on their fishing expeditions. We have a large population of Pademelon and Bennett's wallabies, wombats and bandicoots, which you are sure to spot every night....So sorry, no pets permitted.

We are half way between Bay of Fires and Freycinet Pennisula and Wineglass Bay.

We are also halfway between Launceston and Hobart in terms of travelling time, being approximately 2 hours from both.

There are over a dozen vineyards all within one hours drving time and just as many restaurants. Local towns are also within an hours drive. Bicheno is the closest being a 15 minute drive away, which has everything you could possibly require.

Property

The property is fitted with quality contemporary decor. No beach shack knick-knacks here.

We supply a large range of DVD's, music CD's, puzzles, board games and an extensive guest library to help keep you entertained.

We have made every effort to ensure our guests stay is care and stress free.

Our linen is luxurious and comfortable.

We pride ourselves on keeping the cabin immaculate. Satisfaction is guaranteed!!!!

The cabin is fully insulated, very quiet and cosy, we have verandahs on two sides so you can always find a cool spot in the Summer or a warm spot in Winter.

Bicheno Dive Centre is just 15 minutes away which offers some if not the best temperate water diving in the world. They offer a full diving service (boat dives and gear hire) You cans ee giant crayfish and numerous fish species by diving Governor Island Marine Rerserve.

Whale Watching

Whale watching possible from property, On-shore whale watching nearb.

Whales (Southern Right and Humpback are the most common) often call into the sheltered bay at Long Point with their calves to rest and play during their return migration from Southern Waters. It is common for them to stay in the area for a couple of days and we often swim and kayak with them.

Windsurfing/Kitesailing

The bay which is formed by longpoint break offfers off-shore breezes during the summer. There is very little boat traffic in the area to concern surfers
