As above! This is a great value beachfront unit for couples or family with up to 3 children. Hastings Point is one of the last of the small fishing/surfing hamlets that used to be dotted along Australia's east coast. Only 16 blocks of beachfront land on our pristine 3km of unspoilt beach.
Outdoor setting and BBQ on the verandah with ocean views. Ocean views from the lounge room. Massive couch, large TV, DVD/VCR + collection of over 100 videos if the weather turns sour!
Regularly visited, maintained, cleaned and improved by the owners.

No need for any creative writing here. We keep a visitors book in the unit and just about everyone seems to love it. Lots of overseas visitors. Lots of families that have had annual hols with us for many years.

Locality

Great little restaurant just across the road + general store and takeaway just other side of estuary.
Just a few mins in the car to the bars/restaurants of Cabarita, Salt, and Kingscliff.

This property is beachfront, Less than 5 minutes walk to the beach, Beach views.

Absolute beachfront. Ocean views from the unit. Ground floor unit (no steps) built in elevated position on top of the dunes. Just walk 20 metres or so thru the vegetation and you're on the beach - no road to cross. Coast Road is behind the unit block so almost no road noise at all.

Visited by twitchers who have kindly left their log-sheets. Approximately 100 species sighted in and around our unit and Hastings Point.

Canoeing & Kayaking

Canoe and/or Kayak facilities available nearby, Guests welcome to bring their own canoe/kayak, Located on waterfront, Less than 5 minutes walk to water.

Can take sea kayak to beach directly in front of our absolute beachfront unit. Also, approx 300 metres away, there is the Cudgera Creek estuary - a protected, calm, shallow, pristine creek where canoes and kayaks are available to rent especially in summer.

Close to Public Transport

Public transport within 10 minute walk, Bus service.

Tweed Coast bus service offers cheap rides to and from local clubs, pubs at Pottsville, Cabarita, Kingscliff etc.

Family Friendly

Games/videos for children under 5 available, Games/videos for children over 12 available, Fenced/safe outdoor play area.

High chair, trundle bed, kids books and videos, flat grassy lawn directly in front of unit, no steps. Watch the kids from the comfort of the lounge couch or the kitchen.

Fishing

Fishing spots available nearby, Located less than 5 mins walk to water, Boatramp within 5 minute drive, Boat hire available nearby.

See Beach location. Just wander down to the beach right in front of unit and catch all the usual surf species. Or walk 300m up the road to the calm water of pristine Cudgera Creek estuary and teach kids to fish. Tinnies available for rent up at Tweed River.

Romantic getaway

Accommodation just for two.

Sorry, no spa, massage or chocolates but a beaut queen size bed, and a beautiful calm quiet environment. We think its romantic when we leave the kids at home...

Whale Watching

Whale watching possible from property, On-shore whale watching nearb.

We see humpback whales everyday during the May-October (approx) season. Can see them from the lounge room or wander outside and sit on the BBQ bench for an even better view. Thru binoculars, you can easily distinguish calves from adults and observe the various behaviours: tail-slaps, breaching, spy-hopping, pectoral-fin slaps, etc. Dolphins also freqly seen.
