Cottage

Woodvale is a unique cottage, beautifully restored and with a peaceful ambience. With two main bedrooms and one small bedroom, two sitting rooms (one with a sofa bed)and all the usual facilities, the property will accommodate up to eight people. It is fully equipped, and breakfast and other provisions can be supplied at cost. Woodvale is perfect for those needing a restful holiday in a rural setting, and also provides an excellent base from which to explore the Snowy Mountains and Monaro regions.

2 km from the town, where every facility is available, in very quiet rural area.

Property

The 5 acres is divided into 4 securely fenced areas and guests are able to bring their own animals, large and small. Guests may interact with the resident animals if they wish, and may collect and use the eggs from the chook yard.

We only accept one booking at a time, so the guests may enjoy total uninterrupted privacy and treat the cottage and grounds as if it were their own.

Our cottage is a safe place for children, though of course they should always be supervised. We have a collection of games and books suitable for all ages and tastes. Children can enjoy interacting with our dog Shep and cat Pixie, and the ponies Nellie and Minnie. There are spacious outdoor areas where children can play ball games and do other outdoor activities, a large terrace, two verandas and two indoor living areas which allow space for all members of the family.

Farm animals live on the property, Sheep, Chickens, Horses, Dogs, Guests able to interact with the farm animals.

Pet friendly

Cats are permitted, Small dogs (less than 11 kg) are permitted, Medium dogs (11 kg to less than 34 kg) are permitted, Large dogs (34 kg or heavier) are permitted, Pets are permitted inside, Secure, fully fenced running area, Food and water bowls provided, Other domesticated animals reside at the property.

All animals, large and small, can be catered for by arrangement, and we allow animals inside as long as the owners supervise them adequately and make good any damage they may cause. There is a secure house yard and another larger securely fenced paddock. Horses can be accommodated in the paddock and two stables. We can provide horse feed and other requirements on request..

Romantic getaway

The quiet and secluded location and absence of other guests allows our guests to relax in total privacy, with the freedom and space the cottage environment and self-catering facilities offer, while being a few minutes from restaurants and other facilities in the town.

Snow Skiing

Ski storage available.

Cooma is an excellent base for those wishing to have accommodation below the snowline, while at the same time being a relatively short drive to all the NSW ski areas. It is ideal for those families with small children or some members who do not ski, as they can enjoy the cottage and the Cooma area while the ski-ing members of the group are away in the mountains for the day.

Our cottage offers a unique place where the wedding party can prepare for the wedding, or where the happy couple can retreat after the event. The cottage could be the venue for a small wedding by arrangement with us

Located in the Snowy Mountains, Cooma can be very cold in Winter. All the NSW ski fields are accessible for day trips from Cooma, and you enjoy the comfort and convenience of staying out of the snow and near the town.
